In this time and age of the internet blogging is just one of the many ways of communication with people, Alsopp gives us a detailed explanation of the whole phenomenon that affects just not blogging but media communications in general, bloggers have to send the right message to a community interested in celebrities, scandals and headlines driven by tabloids.

Personally blogging is a way to share my interests and creativity with people that like similar stuff, such architecture, music, travelling, etc. things I do for leisure and entertainment. Same as many people do, what glen recommends as well as good contents is to think beyond the blog was something that capture my attention, to have the Blog of my dreams, actually im just using right now a template from wordpress, and actually I find it boring, I started to think how can I improve and make more visually attractive.

I found something very useful the idea of having people following in certain categories, as I planned to post in different categories, some of the readers would not share my taste in music but like the pictures I uploaded. He mention a famous example from Mashable follow, so is content that people really want to know and follow.

Alsopp talked about tricks and things he saw in successful and well known blogs that can make my blog very interactive and make the blog more personable such testimonial bar with comment from followers or some bar with stats from post that can improve the subscriber numbers.

 I liked the part of thinking beyond the blog, encouraged me to think more how can I improved my blog. Alsopp  said: Why leave it to the ‘big guys’ to be experimenting with all of these ideas? Now really is the time to start thinking beyond the blog.

The article is long and complex but well explained at the time, explains well what is still going on in the media and blogging and other topics about metrics and Google which I am not an expert and these days have become secondary. The full post can be found in

Utrecht, Netherlands.  Myself and my mother visited Utrecht back in September 2013 on a showery day!

This charming old city centres is one of the most important and large in population in the Netherlands. The University of Utrecht is one of the most important in the country. It’s located just 40km away from Amsterdam.

The canal called Oudegracht surrounds the city and has some cafes and restaurants that make a lively and charming space to spend the whole day walking around Utrecht.

Time to watch another classic: Rebecca!!!!

This movie is an american psychological dramatic thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock (1940) is his first American project, after a long time producing movies in England Hitchcok move to Hollywood and will start to create a long list of hits and become one of the most important directors.

Rebecca is starred by Laurence Olivier as the aristocratic widower Maxim de Winter, Joan Fontaine as his second wife, and Judith Anderson as the housekeeper, Mrs. Danvers.
